Once upon a time, a group of Native Americans wanted to put on a cultural show for the tourists. One of the exhibits was to be three American Indian squaws, sitting on three animal hides. There was a buffalo hide, a horse hide, and a hippopotamus hide.
But the exhibit turned out to be a bit of a scam. For one thing, two of the three "squaws" were male. In fact, the squaw on the hippopotamus was the son of the squaws on the other two hides.
